Exactly what are black holes, and what would happen to the things that travel on them?
I have heard many stories about black holes and contain "worlds" within them or that can be used for travel within one point in the universe to another. Seriously, what about black holes? What is the story?
A black hole occurs when a very massive star short of fuel. When the energy stops melting, keeping the explosive energy "Star inflated ending current size, and there is nothing but immense gravity acts on mass. The star collapses, creating a super-dense mass, and a massive explosion – blowing huge amounts of material, while at the same time, the compression of an extremely massive core. What the core is based on the mass of the star and the force of the explosion. If the core is compressed so that the electrons and protons are merged atoms is, you end up with a mass composed of more than neutrons – a neutron star. Typically, these revolve very rapidly (the Crab Nebula is the result of a supernova, a star rotating neutron 30 times per second.) If the force of the explosion and the mass is even stronger collapse does not stop there – the heart is compressed to a point dimensionless in space – a black hole. Out of this black hole is the event horizon – the boundary between the realm of a black hole – where the escape velocity exceeds the speed of light and the normal space.
